Brief Bio
I am starting a new chapter in my teaching career, though I am presently still at the prologue! June 1, 2010 I took on a one-month teaching contract as a K-6 FSL (French as a Second Language) teacher at a school in Eastern Ontario. This summer I will take a course that will provide me with official qualifications to teach FSL in the province of Ontario. I am seeking permanent employment as a French teacher in and around the South Glengarry area for September.
Up until June 1, I taught students in Grades 10 & 11 in an alternative school program. The small class sizes and core teacher design were a good fit with my belief that student success is best achieved through relationship. I still see this belief play out in my new position. It is one of life's truths!
I left teaching for consulting 3 years ago but returned because I craved the energy I missed from being in the classroom with students. Now there are times I long for the challenge and creativity of consulting and so My dream job is to combine teaching with organizational development.
