Brief Bio
I love the learning process. Whether it be kindergarten through adult education and beyond, I feel the most alive when working with other educators towards shared goals. Specifically, towards ensuring that learners have access to successful learning programs.
I've been working in education since 1996 and my philosophy of education has grown into what I like to call a people-centered learning process. In all cases, people and pedagogy come first. This is as much true for professional development as it is for teaching.
I use technology to enhance learning whenever possible and appropriate, that is, I do not use it for the sake of using it but when its use will create better learning opportunities. Pedagogy is always at the front line. I have been using different technologies to enhance my own learning for the past decade or so. Reflecting on what and how I learn is important to me and I do so at a few different places, accessible under 'Digital Resources' in the left sidebar, where you can find out more about me and how I teach and consult.
